Pin
By La Spinetta, Asti, Piemonte, Italy
Monferrato Rosso DOC blend of Nebbiolo and Barbera, named for Giuseppe 'Pin' Rivetti who founded the family's wine business, first produced in 1989 with about 8,000 bottles a year.
Tasting notes
A postcard from Piedmont expressing love for the land, an affection that Giuseppe Rivetti, known as 'Pin', taught his sons Carlo, Bruno and Giorgio. The synergy between Barbera and Nebbiolo results in a bouquet of fruit, flowers, and spices. The balance between tannins and acidity makes this wine a perfect companion for food.
