Barolo from the Monprivato vineyard in Castiglione Falletto, of which the family is the only producer; about 30 months in Slavonian oak.

Tasting notes

Garnet red with orange highlights. Complex, very fruity, elegant, intense, spicy nose with flowery touches. Excellent body with power and stuffing, demanding, masculine, long and full.

Pairs well with

Red meats in general, game, mature cheeses.

Estate-grown bunches, thinned during the summer, undergo traditional-style floating cap fermentation for 20 to 25 days, then are matured in medium-sized Slavonian oak barrels for about 30 months. Bottled six years after the vintage. Expected cellar life 15 to 25 years.
