Barbera d'Alba from 60 to 70 year old vines in the Codana sub-area of Castiglione Falletto, aged about 18 months in French oak.
Tasting notes
Deep ruby red with elegant garnet highlights on ageing. Vinous, varietal, ample nose. Powerful, with stuffing and lots of body, well balanced, round, packed with character, slightly tannic.
Pairs well with
Roasts, red meats, poultry and cheeses, including strong varieties.
