Cerretta
By Giovanni Rosso, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Barolo DOCG from the Cerretta MGA on the northern edge of Serralunga d'Alba, a naturally amphitheatre-shaped plot the Rosso family has farmed since 1920, aged 18 to 36 months in French oak.
Tasting notes
Violet, dried rose, ripe cherry and white pepper, with beguiling complexity. Solid body, enveloping tannins, a silky, precise close.
Pairs well with
Fassona beef rib, fillet with morel mushrooms, truffled partridge.
