Red
Barolo
By Giovanni Rosso, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Barolo DOCG blended in roughly equal parts from the estate's plots in Serralunga d'Alba, Castiglione Falletto and the town of Barolo, aged 18 to 36 months in 50hl French oak casks, made the way the wine was before single-vineyard bottlings became common.
Tasting notes
Quinine bark, floral notes, cherry in spirit, star anise and mulberry. Fine, elegant structure with orderly tannins and a long finish.
Pairs well with
Fresh pasta dishes, grilled fish with sauces, lamb skewers, white and red meats.
