Red
San Lorenzo
By Fratelli Alessandria, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
From a hill next to Monvigliero with similar soil but slightly lower, gentler ground; the producer considers it finer and more feminine than its neighbour. First bottled as a single cru in 1997.
Tasting notes
Complex and balanced, bringing out the floral character typical of Nebbiolo; the palate is elegant and harmonious, with tannins that are usually sweet and smooth.
