Sparkling
Alta Langa
By Francesco Sobrero, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Vintage-dated Alta Langa DOCG metodo classico from Chardonnay and Pinot Nero grown in San Marzano Oliveto, first produced in 2015 and aged at least 30 months on the lees.
Tasting notes
Straw yellow colour with a fine, persistent bead. Complex on the nose, with aromas of renetta apple, white-fleshed fruit, yeast and bread crust. Dry, well-balanced palate with real structure and notable length, with a note recalling leavened bread.
Pairs well with
Good as an aperitif or through the whole meal: starters, fish dishes, fried food and truffle dishes.
