Vignolo Riserva
By Cavallotto - Tenuta Bricco Boschis, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Barolo Riserva from the Vignolo MGA, of which the family bought 60% in 1989 and was first to bottle on its own.
Tasting notes
Excellent structure with tannins that are soft and sweet from early in its life. Intense, open perfume that moves from fruit to flowers, then spices; very enjoyable young, with generally excellent cellaring potential.
Pairs well with
Best with red meat, but also grilled fish, shellfish or white meats, or hard aged cheeses. Also dark chocolate desserts, or as a wine for meditation.
