Red
Grign
By Cavallotto - Tenuta Bricco Boschis, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Grignolino from a parcel inside the Bricco Boschis cru, sold as Langhe Grign.
Tasting notes
Medium-light structure with a pale colour tending to rose. Complex perfumes of red fruits, especially small strawberries, with a spicy, rich and herbaceous bouquet. Best drunk within 3 years of the vintage, though moderately suited to ageing in extraordinary years.
Pairs well with
Sliced meats such as prosciutto, salami and lardo; Alba beef tartare, vitello tonnato, pasta, simple red meat dishes and seasoned cheeses. Can also be served cool with delicate white meats or fish.
