Red
Luna di Maggio
By Cascina Gilli, Monferrato, Piemonte, Italy
Luna di Maggio is Cascina Gilli's frizzante Freisa d'Asti, made from the best Freisa lots of the Cornareto hill and bottled in May following the lunar calendar.
Tasting notes
Deep ruby red with moderate liveliness, dense fruity aromas of wild berries dominated by raspberry. Dry on the palate with a pleasant acidic edge and a faint bitter aftertaste, an easy-drinking wine with distinct character.
Pairs well with
Starters, simpler first courses and cured meats; also pairs well with light white meat dishes.
