Dedica is Cascina Gilli's Barbera d'Asti DOCG Superiore, made only from the estate's oldest Barbera vines (over 70 years) on the Schierano hills and aged in barrique.
Tasting notes
Ruby red with a hint of garnet. Intense fruity notes of plum and cherry under alcohol with a slight balsamic note, floral violet aromas underpinned by spicy vanilla, and well-integrated toasted notes. Fresh on the palate with a pleasant wet-stone sensation, delicate smooth tannins and a long liquorice and boisé finish.

Main courses of red meat, aged cheeses and game.

- Vinification
- Made exclusively from grapes of vineyards over 70 years old on the Schierano hills. Low yields, small berries, an extended ripening, frequent pumping-over during maceration and 12 months of ageing in second-passage barriques, 20% of it new, give the wine its chromatic intensity and elegant aroma; it then spends about 12 months in bottle.
