Cascina Gilli Lirico

Lirico is Cascina Gilli's Monferrato Chiaretto DOC, a rosé blend of Freisa and Bonarda from the Bricco Gilli vineyard, made by a short maceration followed by slow, cool fermentation.

Tasting notes

A rosé of pleasing quality and freshness, a small concert of fruity and floral aromas. Delicate notes of cherry and raspberry stand out alongside dog rose, violet and iris. Intense fruity flavours balance a pleasant acidity and structure, with a long, fruity finish.

Starters, fish and shellfish, cheeses and cold dishes.

Vinification
Born in 2016 from Freisa vinified together with a small part of Piedmontese Bonarda. After a very brief maceration, fermentation is slow and at low temperature, to extract all the fruity and floral aromas of the wine; it rests at least two months in bottle before release.
