Made since 1986, when the first 600 bottles came out; the producer calls it his most appreciated wine. Barbera from historic vineyards, aged in barriques.
Tasting notes
Deep ruby with garnet reflections; red fruit, violet, sweet spices such as cardamom and cinnamon. Broad, balanced, long finish of blackberry, cocoa and tobacco.
Pairs well with
Risotto or braised beef in Barbera, legume soups, stews, game, aged cheeses.
