Red
Excelso
By Cà Neuva, Dogliani, Piemonte, Italy
Excelso is Cà Neuva's Langhe DOC red, a secret-recipe blend of Barbera, Nebbiolo and Cabernet created to mark the estate's 90th year and dedicated to Sergio Abbona's grandfather, Celso.
Tasting notes
A structured wine with good fruit and soft, intense tannins, a hint of spiced wood and a soft mouthfeel; well balanced between acidity and alcohol with good ageing potential. Deep red; ethereal and intense on the nose with enveloping vanilla and morello cherry; velvety, soft and persistent on the palate, dry, finishing on a note of bitter almond.
