Red
Vigna Sant'Anna
By Antica Cascina dei Conti di Roero, Roero, Piemonte, Italy
The estate's flagship cru, from a one hectare plot planted by Daniela's grandfather in 1954 and still farmed by hand.
Tasting notes
Ruby red with garnet highlights as it evolves. Ethereal, intense nose of ripe fruit, rose and blackberry that develops vanilla, cocoa and spice notes with age. Elegant, fruity and mineral, with crisp tannins that suggest good ageing potential.
Pairs well with
Tajarin or plin with white Alba truffle, red meats, roasts, game, hard cheeses.
