White
Roero Arneis
By Antica Cascina dei Conti di Roero, Roero, Piemonte, Italy
Il Vino Bello rating: 3.5 / 5
The estate's benchmark white, 100% Arneis from the sandy soils around Vezza d'Alba, aged in steel to keep its aromatics intact.
Tasting notes
Straw yellow with greenish highlights. Delicate bouquet of white flowers, acacia, honey and chamomile, evolving with age into hydrocarbon, flint and hay notes. Good minerality, balanced, with a floral aftertaste recalling crusty bread, golden apples and pineapple.
Pairs well with
Vegetable and fish starters, shellfish, light pasta dishes, risotto, grilled fish, mixed berry salads.
