Barbera from the Cascina Penna vineyard in Canale, planted in 1997 on a mostly east facing site that keeps the grapes fresh.
Tasting notes
Bright ruby red with scents of ripe fruit, plum, blackberry and Marasca cherry. Fragrant and fresh with good acidity, aftertaste of mixed berries and vanilla.
Pairs well with
Agnolotti al plin with mixed roasts, tajarin with meat sauce, roast, stewed and boiled meats, medium aged cheeses and Toma di Langa.
