Pico Maccario
Pico Maccario is a winery in Mombaruzzo, in the Asti hills of the Monferrato. Brothers Pico and Vitaliano Maccario founded it in 1997 on vineyards inherited from their grandfather Carlo. About 100 hectares lie in a single block around the cellar, planted to Barbera, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, Cortese and Moscato. In the Langhe the family also grows Nebbiolo in Neive, Serralunga d'Alba and Barolo, including a parcel in the Cannubi cru. Wines age in steel, large casks, tonneaux or barriques. Colorful pencil-shaped posts and rose bushes mark the rows, and the rose also appears on the winery's logo. Since 2025 the estate has been part of the ONIWINES project of the Veronesi family.
