Caudrina

Caudrina

Caudrina is the estate of Romano Dogliotti in Castiglione Tinella, in the Moscato hills between the Langhe and the Monferrato of Asti. His father Redento began by pressing the family's grapes and selling the must; from the late 1970s Romano started bottling his own Moscato, and La Caudrina, La Galeisa and the Asti La Selvatica followed. Romano took over fully in 1997 and works with his sons Alessandro, Sergio and Marco and his wife Bruna. In Nizza Monferrato the family farms Barbera, Nebbiolo, Chardonnay and Albarossa, made into La Solista, Montevenere, Sfacciato, Mej and the sparkling Lunatica. Labels carry work by the artists Alessandro Lupano, Paolo Spinoglio and Romano Levi. Castiglione Tinella sits in the heart of the Moscato d'Asti zone, on calcareous marl hills.
