Azienda Giribaldi

Azienda Giribaldi

Mario Giribaldi's farm in Rodello d'Alba goes back to the early twentieth century and is now in its third generation. Matteo Giribaldi, the family's winemaker, made his first Barolo in 2006 and began making Alta Langa sparkling wine in 2011. The vines have been farmed organically since 2001, with the first certification in 2004, and in 2015 the family added a Dolcetto d'Alba made with no added sulfites.

Grapes come from separate sites: Rodello for Arneis, Riesling, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo and the sparkling base, Alba for Barbera, Montelupo Albese for Nebbiolo d'Alba, Neive for Barbaresco, and Novello for the Barolos, drawn from the Ravera and Cerviano Merli crus. Rodello is a Langhe hill village in the province of Cuneo, and Ravera is one of Novello's Barolo crus.
