Currà
By Sottimano, Barbaresco, Piemonte, Italy
Barbaresco DOCG from the Currà cru, a small site south-west of Neive village farmed with old, low-yielding vines.
Tasting notes
Evolved notes of menthol, liquorice and aniseed emerge on the palate within a tannic structure and fruity pulp. This Barbaresco reveals itself more slowly than the others, enveloping on the palate with vigorous, persistent tannins and hints of violet and red fruit.

- Vinification
- After a careful selection of the grapes, alcoholic fermentation happens spontaneously. Long maceration on the skins and a period of submerged cap are followed by racking into wood, where malolactic fermentation completes. The wine then rests in bottle for about a year before release.
