Old-vine Barbera d'Alba Superiore on clayey calcareous soil, aged 18 months in French and Slavonian oak.
Tasting notes
The estate calls it its pride and joy, alongside the Bussia Barolo. Ruby red, with a fresh nose and soft scents of ripe plum. Can be drunk young or aged eight to ten years.

Pasta with rich meat sauces, meat, game, cheese and cold meats

- Manual harvest in crates, destemmed, four pump-overs a day in the first week, twelve days of maceration. After racking and malolactic fermentation it stands 18 months in French barriques and large Slavonian oak barrels; three months in bottle before release.
