Podere Ruggeri Corsini

Podere Ruggeri Corsini

Podere Ruggeri Corsini is a family estate in Monforte d'Alba, in the Barolo zone of the Langhe. Loredana Addari and Nicola Argamante, both trained in viticulture and oenology, left the city in 1995 to buy a small farm in the Corsini hamlet; their daughters Francesca and Vittoria now work alongside them. The current cellar dates from 2000, and the estate bottles about 85,000 to 90,000 bottles a year, all from its own grapes. Two Barolo crus anchor the range, Bussia and Bricco San Pietro, next to Nebbiolo, Barbera (including the old-vine Armujan), Dolcetto, Pinot Nero and Albarossa, and whites and a rosé that include Chardonnay, Viognier and the rare Baratuciat. The family uses light Albeisa bottles, treats its cellar wastewater in a phyto-purification system and runs solar panels. Monforte is one of the communes of the Barolo DOCG, and Bussia is one of its best-known named vineyards.
