Red
Vignarionda
By Luigi Pira, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Vignarionda is considered the quintessential Serralunga cru: a 1-hectare, south-west facing plot at 330 metres on limestone-clay soil, planted in 1994, giving about 4,000 bottles of an intense, structured yet balanced Barolo.
Tasting notes
Intense garnet red; the nose is striking for its complexity and elegance, with nuances ranging from wild berries to sweet tobacco and deep, intriguing balsamic notes; rich and harmonious on the palate, with remarkable persistence.
