Red
Barbera d'Alba Superiore
By Luigi Pira, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Grown outside Serralunga, in Roddino, on a 2-hectare, south-west facing plot at 420 metres, planted in 2000, giving about 10,000 bottles.
Tasting notes
Intense ruby red; an elegant bouquet with a fine balance of oak spice and berries; strong but well-balanced acidity dominates the palate, giving an enveloping, full-bodied wine.
