The Riserva version of Franco Mondo's Nizza DOCG, from a single low-yield vineyard in the Cru Mariano planted in 1990 and aged 36 months in French oak. The estate has made it since the 2015 vintage.
Tasting notes
Intense red with light violet highlights and a broad bouquet of black cherry, coffee and cocoa. Full, austere and velvety on the palate with a rich, silky finish.
Pairs well with
Structured meat dishes, game and aged or blue cheeses.

- From a single estate vineyard in the Cru Mariano planted in 1990, exposed south-east and thinned in summer to under 45 quintals per hectare. Grapes are picked late and kept in crates; a long maceration on the skins is followed by 36 months' ageing in fine French oak and a further 12 months in bottle.
