Red
Barbera d'Asti
By Franco Mondo, Nizza, Piemonte, Italy
A young, fresh Barbera d'Asti DOCG from estate vineyards in San Marzano Oliveto planted in the early 1980s.
Tasting notes
Good-intensity ruby red with a mainly floral bouquet that turns ethereal with moderate ageing. Dry, fresh, full and harmonious on the palate, with a touch of softness.
Pairs well with
Good with simple food such as bread with salame or gorgonzola, and equally with first courses, game, grilled meat and hard cheeses.
