'8.24', the estate's Monferrato Freisa DOC from a single vineyard in Canelli planted in 1985, aged 12 months in 600-litre French oak barrels.
Tasting notes
Deep ruby red with light violet highlights and an intense bouquet of ripe fruit. Notes of ripe red fruit on the palate with a soft, tannic finish.
Pairs well with
Structured meat dishes, game, cheeses and blue cheeses.

- From a vineyard planted in 1985 in Canelli, exposed south-west and thinned in summer to under 60 quintals per hectare. After careful over-ripening the grapes reach the cellar quickly after harvest; about a week's maceration on the skins is followed by 12 months' ageing in 600-litre French oak barrels and a further 6 months in bottle.
