Georgette

Franco M. Martinetti Georgette

Georgette is dedicated to the woman you love, made entirely from Croatina, one of Piemonte's great native red grapes.

Tasting notes

Deep, almost impenetrable ruby colour; the nose gives blueberry, plum and oriental spice, and careful barrique ageing softens the sharper edges into a warm, alluring wine, powerful yet still elegant. Georgette expresses to the full the character of the Croatina grape, tended with meticulous care on the vine through to the October harvest; the tannic structure is well present but wraps the palate like the finest cashmere, with an almost endless finish.

Pairs well with

Georgette does full justice to Croatina, one of the great native grapes of southern Piemonte, alongside the best game dishes and well-aged hard cow's milk cheeses.
