White
Gavi
By Franco M. Martinetti, Monferrato, Piemonte, Italy
Gavi DOCG made from Cortese grown in the comune of Gavi (AL); Gavi is one of Piemonte's most prestigious native white wines.
Tasting notes
Pale straw yellow in colour, inviting immediate tasting. The nose recalls white flowers, chamomile, ripe peach and citrus fruit. The palate is smooth and consistent, with a light, pleasant streak of acidity.
Pairs well with
Pairs with the finest Italian fish dishes, or serves as a fresh, not cloying aperitivo.
