White
Biancofranco
By Franco M. Martinetti, Monferrato, Piemonte, Italy
Biancofranco is Timorasso aged in steel with a moderate rest on the lees.
Tasting notes
Deep straw yellow colour with golden highlights announces a serious wine, one that opens up slowly rather than all at once. Ripe, persistent fruit on the nose; soft and warm on the palate, with notable texture and pleasant mineral nuances.
Pairs well with
Pairs naturally with fish dishes and mild cheeses, and is intriguing with white meats; a fine match for a poached egg in a light anchovy sauce with white truffle.
