Alta Langa Blanc de Noir
By Colombo - Cascina Pastori, Asti, Piemonte, Italy
Alta Langa Blanc de Noir is Colombo's single-varietal Pinot Nero Metodo Classico vinified as a white wine under the Alta Langa DOCG, aged at least 36 months on the lees.
Tasting notes
Intense, bright, crystalline straw yellow with a fine, long-lasting mousse. A single-varietal Pinot Nero vinified white, with violet and rose meeting crisp white peach, red berries and an unexpected grapefruit note, plus buttery, toasted bread aromas from ageing and a pronounced iodised, saline character from the Val Bormida terroir. The palate is creamy and structured, with redcurrant acidity, whisper-light tannins, and a long finish of nougat and toasted bread.
