White
Alcesti
By Cascina Montagnola, Colli Tortonesi, Piemonte, Italy
A pure Sauvignon Blanc from the estate's own vineyards, fermented cool and matured briefly on the lees before a short spell in bottle.
Tasting notes
Delicate straw yellow with beautiful emerald nuances. Very fine and intense on the nose, with notes of peach, melon and fig, freshened by elegant hints of mint and elderflower. Full and harmonious on the palate, with lovely refreshing acidity supporting the softness.
Pairs well with
Shellfish, various fish preparations, wonderful with smoked salmon, excellent as an aperitif too.
