Barolo from the Bussia cru in Monforte d'Alba, part of the estate's La Fenice line since it was introduced; 14.5% abv, three years in 1,000-litre casks.
Tasting notes
Intense garnet red. Fresh balsamic notes, then sweeter rose and liquorice, with cherries, ripe plums and undergrowth. Balanced, full-bodied and enveloping on the palate with a long finish.
Pairs well with
Red meat dishes, game, braises, truffle dishes, risotto and strongly flavoured cheeses.

- Vinification
- Vinification follows the traditional Barolo rules: fermentation of about 15 days at a controlled 27°C. In spring the wine goes into oak casks, where it ages three years in 1,000-litre botti; depending on the vintage it rests a further 12 months before bottling, then about six months in bottle before release.
