Galverno is Cagliero's Langhe Rosso DOC from about 1 hectare of estate vineyard, made by contact of fresh Dolcetto with Nebbiolo marc in a ripasso-style process.
Tasting notes
Ruby red with orange highlights, a full bouquet of fruit and flowers, dry but velvety and harmonious with a refined, balanced flavour.
Pairs well with
Risotto, ham and cured meats, raw meat, white meat and cheese dishes.

- Made by a ripasso-style process: freshly pressed Dolcetto must is put in contact with the marc of just-pressed Nebbiolo in ceramic-coated concrete vats for a second, at-least-6-day fermentation, then matured about 18 months in medium-toasted French oak barriques before finishing in steel and ageing over 10 months in bottle.
