Barolo Chinato is Cagliero's aromatized wine made from its own Barolo DOCG infused with cinchona bark and other herbs and spices, following the traditional Langa recipe style.
Tasting notes
Intense perfume with a harmoniously balanced, long-lasting flavour and a slightly bitter finish.
Pairs well with
Ideal to close a meal, especially with bitter-chocolate-based desserts; can also be served hot with hot water and orange peel as a warming drink.

- Vinification
- Made from fully aged Cagliero Barolo DOCG flavoured with herbs and spices including China Calissaia (cinchona bark); the herbs are macerated in pure alcohol, the filtered infusion is added to the Barolo, and the blend is further aged in small Slavonian oak barrels (caratelli) to marry the flavours.
