Metodo classico from Chardonnay and Pinot Nero grown on the Langa hills, left more than four years on the lees (labelled Bera Brut). Bread-crust notes and a dry, savoury finish; 12.5% vol.

Tasting notes

Colour: not too deep yellow, with a fine, persistent perlage. Nose: bread crust and yeast add to the primary chardonnay aromas, softened by ageing and re-fermentation. Palate: fine, delicate and intense, with the body of the pinot alongside the finesse and acidity of the chardonnay.

Pairs well with

Ideal as an aperitif and throughout the meal

Vinification
Part of the must ferments in steel. The following spring the base wine is prepared for the second fermentation in bottle, with selected yeasts and sugar added. The bottles rest in a cool place for the fermentation and foam formation, then stay on the lees for at least 4 years. They are then moved to pupitres and turned for about 30 to 40 days, disgorged and recorked.
