Collis Breclemae

By Antichi Vigneti di Cantalupo, Alto Piemonte, Piemonte, Italy

Antichi Vigneti di Cantalupo Collis Breclemae

Cantalupo's symbolic wine, born in 1979 to express the great potential that the Nebbiolo of this land has held since antiquity. It takes its name from Breclema, a medieval village and stronghold of the Counts of Biandrate near the mouth of the Valsesia, destroyed long ago; the vineyard lies on the hills above the old village site.

Tasting notes

Ruby-garnet red, with an enveloping bouquet of liquorice, red woodland fruit and violet. On the palate a persistent sapidity and an elegant sense of fullness, enriched by soft tannins that harmonise within its vibrant structure.

Pairs well with

Accompanies meat and game dishes as well as flavourful cheeses. Serve in large glasses, taking care over good oxygenation.
