Abate di Cluny
By Antichi Vigneti di Cantalupo, Alto Piemonte, Piemonte, Italy
Joined the Cantalupo range in 2007, a Colline Novaresi DOC that pays tribute to Novara's Cluniac heritage. It is named for St. Maiolus, 4th abbot of Cluny, honouring the Burgundian monks among Ghemme's historic winegrowers, and takes its grapes from the Roccolo Maiolo vineyard.
Tasting notes
Enveloping aromas of aromatic rose that turn spicy, all bound together by an elegant minerality. Silky and velvety on the palate.
Pairs well with
Enhances the flavours of first courses, white and red meats, cheeses, and also makes a pleasant companion for moments of quiet meditation.
