Lorenzo Negro

Lorenzo Negro

Lorenzo Negro is a winery in Frazione Sant'Anna, in the Roero village of Monteu Roero. Its vineyards sit on the sandy, fossil-rich soils that mark the Roero, the hill area north-west of the Tanaro river, across from the Langhe.

The range is built around Roero DOCG: Arneis, including the Sant'Anna Riserva aged 10 months in 225-litre barriques, and Nebbiolo from the Prachiosso vineyard and from the farm's oldest vines for the S. Francesco Riserva. The estate also makes Barbera d'Alba and Barbera d'Alba Superiore La Nanda, Langhe Nebbiolo and Dolcetto, Langhe Rosso Arbesca from Albarossa, a rosé called San Martin from second-crop Nebbiolo, and two Roero Arneis sparkling wines made by the classic method. Grapes are picked by hand into small boxes.
