By Teo Costa, Roero, Piemonte, Italy

Teo Costa Castellinaldo Barbera d'Alba

The estate's Castellinaldo Barbera, from the village's oldest vines; the producer says Roberto Costa has backed the village's particular Barbera since 1990 and that it has won numerous international prizes. Aged in oak.

Tasting notes

Deep, intense ruby red with a slightly garnet rim. Intense nose of ripe fruit and a spicy note of well-measured wood. Full, important palate with good tannic sweetness and excellent persistence.
