Red
Castellinaldo
By Stefanino Morra, Roero, Piemonte, Italy
Since the mid-1990s Morra has set aside its oldest vineyard for this richer style of Barbera d'Alba, fermented with submerged cap and aged in small oak, a wine built for age rather than immediate drinking. The name Castellinaldo, after the family's home village, appears on the bottle label.
Tasting notes
A full-bodied, soft red, with small-oak ageing lending intriguing notes of spice and undergrowth.
