A blend of Nebbiolo, Vespolina and Croatina from Lessona with some Bramaterra fruit, aged about 40 months before bottling. ABV 12.5%.
Tasting notes
Vibrant ruby red. Fresh and juicy mid-palate packed with aromatic red fruits and occasional hints of herbs; supple, approachable tannins and balanced acidity give a grand texture and a savoury, long finish.

- Ormeggio, Castagnola and Belvedere vineyards in Lessona (Orolungo region, 290-350 m), plus some fruit from the 45-90 year old Madonna degli Angeli vineyard in Brusnengo (Forte region, Bramaterra DOC)
- Soil
- Lessona: Pliocene marine sands (Ori di Lessona) on an igneous rock subsoil mixed with glacial sediment, acidic and rich in minerals and trace elements including iron, manganese, aluminium and zinc.
- Vinification
- Hand sorting on a conveyor belt, destemming and gentle pressing, gravity feed into open-topped wooden fermenters, natural yeasts. 25 days skin maceration with regular punching down. 10 months on the lees, then 30 months in 15 hl casks before bottling.
