Red
Camparò
By Massimo Pastura - Cascina La Ghersa, Asti, Piemonte, Italy
A Barbera named after its vineyard, the Vigna di Camparò, first vinified in 1990. One of the estate's classic wines.
Tasting notes
Intense red with violet reflections, brilliant. Clear aromas of ripe cherry, plum, violet and wild berries. Complex and balanced, voluminous structure supported by the acidity typical of the grape, delicately tannic and velvety. Long, enveloping finish.
Pairs well with
Cured meats and medium-aged Piedmontese cheeses, pasta including stuffed pasta, white and red meats, roast or braised. Piedmontese pairings: salame crudo 'turista al Barbera', cardoon flan with toma fonduta, agnolotti del plin in roast gravy, Bra Duro DOP.
