White
Derthona
By Marchesi Alfieri, Asti, Piemonte, Italy
Derthona is Marchesi Alfieri's 100% Timorasso, made from a native Piedmontese grape grown in the Colli Tortonesi.
Tasting notes
Straw yellow with golden highlights. Complex aroma of apple and citrus, moving into tropical fruit and yellow flowers, with hydrocarbon and flint notes emerging as the wine ages in the bottle. Full-bodied and sapid on the palate, with a lively, persistent freshness.
Pairs well with
Piedmontese appetizers, fish courses, risotti, medium-aged cheese.
