Costa Quaglia
By Marchesi Alfieri, Asti, Piemonte, Italy
Costa Quaglia is Nebbiolo from a small vineyard in San Martino Alfieri, grown on clay-silt, slightly chalky soil under the Terre Alfieri DOCG.
Tasting notes
Consistent ruby red colour with aromas of wild berries and violets, combined with spice and vanilla from the oak. Full, structured flavour with sweet tannins and good persistence.
Pairs well with
Pasta with meat sauces, red meats, medium-to-strong matured cheeses.
