Sparkling
Blanc de Noir
By Marchesi Alfieri, Asti, Piemonte, Italy
Blanc de Noir is Marchesi Alfieri's Metodo Classico sparkling wine, made exclusively from 100% Pinot Nero, a grape Camillo Benso di Cavour introduced to the estate in the 19th century on the advice of French oenologist Louis Oudart.
Tasting notes
Straw yellow with light green highlights, fine and persistent perlage. Delicate citrus aroma melding with mineral hints of graphite and flint, moving into bread crust and yellow flowers. Soft and creamy on the palate with a long, excellent finish.
Pairs well with
Starters, white meat and fish.
