Red
Marcenasco
By Renato Ratti, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
The estate's original Barolo, first made in 1965 from the historic Marcenasco zone below the Annunziata abbey. Its label, created by Renato Ratti that year, shows the coat of arms of the local noble family, a black falcon on gold.
Tasting notes
Garnet red. Liquorice and tobacco on the nose. Full and elegant on the palate.
Pairs well with
Spit-roasted and grilled red meats, game, white and red meat dishes from classic cuisine, aged cheeses.
