Asti Metodo Classico

By Marcalberto, Langhe, Piemonte, Italy

Marcalberto Asti Metodo Classico

Marcalberto's Asti Metodo Classico is a sweet sparkling wine made purely from Moscato Bianco, reviving the pre-Martinotti tradition of a second fermentation in bottle, made to be lively rather than cloying.

Tasting notes

A distinctive Moscato bouquet of apple, pear, a hint of citron zest, freshly baked sponge cake and a faint sage undertone.

Pairs well with

Perfect with yeasted desserts such as panettone, colomba and pandoro, and with biscuits and desserts without custard or jam, such as Piedmontese hazelnut cake. Also good as an aperitif or with seafood and freshwater fish.
