Il Crutin
By Giovanni Manzone, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
A delicate, juicy Langhe Nebbiolo named for Il Crutin, the family's historic rock-cut cellar house in Gramolere. First produced in 2000, aged between cask and steel, and released about a year and a half after harvest.
Tasting notes
This Nebbiolo displays a garnet hue, offering an aromatic bouquet of dried roses, cherry, and a hint of tar. On the palate, it is structured with firm tannins and a long, complex finish.
